Why Work at CVCH
Our clinics offer a unique environment in which our employees view their jobs not simply as careers but as a calling. We are dedicated to our employees’ well-being and take pride in providing a place to work that encourages growth, teamwork, communication, recognition of achievement and positive co-worker/supervisor relationships. But don't take our word for it.
In Their Words
"I am often asked why I have chosen to spend my career at CVCH, and I always reply “as soon as someone can find more important work for me to do with better people, I will take that job.” CVCH has put a huge amount of thought and resources into the systems that support a provider doing their best work as consistently and safely as possible."
Dr. Malcolm Butler, Medical Director, Columbia Valley Community Health

“As a new graduate Physician Assistant, one of the things that originally attracted me about CVCH was the autonomy and respect given midlevel providers. Tim Seaman, PA-C, and Andrea Hoey, ARNP have been with CVCH almost since the very beginning, and this has helped the organization develop a culture where mid-levels are afforded maximum autonomy and respect for their experience. CVCH has helped me develop my skills and abilities more than I ever expected. They provided me with an excellent mentor, marketed my services and helped me build a panel, and developed my leadership abilities on several committees. There is no sharp dividing line between physicians and mid-levels, and I sometimes feel people seek me for consultation just as much as I seek them. I have several very complicated patients on my panel, and my supervising physician and our medical director always express their confidence in my training and abilities to manage these difficult cases. We have provider meetings twice a month where we learn about best practices and, with mid-levels afforded an equal vote as physicians, help determine the future direction of our practice. I can’t think of a better place to be a PA.”
Casey Wyatt, PA-C, Wenatchee

“At CVCH we work as a team. The pod structure utilizes a variety of skills from med clerk, MAs, RNs and providers, to help assist each patient in receiving the individual care that they need.”

“We are an amazing resource for the poor and uninsured populations in our community. We have great financial assistance programs for patients in need and we work as a team to function as a true medical HOME, attending to the patients’ global needs. We also reach out to the Hispanic populations, most obviously by simply speaking a common language, something I feel is not met and frustrating for our patients elsewhere in the local healthcare community. We also have great support and camaraderie among providers and staff at CVCH. Our interactions, while professional, are easy-going and comfortable, frequently extending outside of the clinic walls.”
Caleb Ambrose, PA-C, Wenatchee
Welcome to the Wenatchee Valley
Doing important work where others vacation
Located on the sunny side of the Cascade Mountains, Wenatchee rests in the heart of Washington State. Just a short drive from Seattle and Spokane, the Wenatchee Valley is a vacationers dream. We have 300 days of sunshine, four distinct seasons, great local schools, minimal commute and traffic, low crime rate, renewable, affordable energy, healthy tourism and robust agriculture and wine country.
People often compare the Wenatchee Valley to other small-town cultural and outdoor Mecca’s – Boulder, CO, Missoula, MT, and Jackson Hole, WY among others. While the valley has plenty of native residents, you’ll meet transplants from all over the country (and abroad) who visited and fell in love with the valley, its people, and the quality lifestyle.
North Central Washington is a beautiful place to live - the towering Cascade Mountains to the west, the rocky, arid plateaus to the east, and the Columbia River running through the middle. And with 300 days of sunshine a year, and minimal precipitation, it’s the best of the Northwest.
Climate: (Did we mention 300 days of sunshine??)
Chelan County Annual Precip: 11.4 inches
Chelan County Avgerage Snowfall: 21 inches
Chelan County Elevation: 1096 feet
“What do I like best about this area? FOUR SEASONS of fun activities within 30 miles of center of town. Good place to raise young family—good schools—private and public, MANY enriching activities for kids to get involved in including sports, theater, dance, gymnastics, and much more.”
Linda Michael, ARNP, Wenatchee Pediatrics
